To be honest I'd never heard of them until you started this thread, I had to google them!

I only buy coconut oil when H&B have a penny sale on, that way you get twice as much for the same price (oh + 1p).  It is expensive though.

Penabby, when I first started controlling my bgs 2 years ago I was so scared of eating any choccy at Easter I made my own truffles and almond bark which used coconut oil - the carbs were very low and I made orange and mint ones loved them - need to make some more a lovely low carb treat!  Thanks for posting about them much appreciated.

Notice people commenting on the price of coconut oil. Holland and Barrett is actually rather pricey for coconut oil as are most of the high street health food shops. Goodness Direct and Naturally Good Food online stores sell Biona organic virgin coconut oil at a comparatively quite reasonable price. I get through so much of the stuff that I buy it in cases of six from Naturally Good Food which means it's even better value. i shall try those fat bombs !

Coconut butter is the same as coconut oil. I get Biona virgin organic coconut oil, it's comparatively good value - in my post above are a couple of links to online health companies that stock it. I use coconut oil for cooking, even for frying eggs in as it's so healthful (the Biona one doesn't taste strongly of coconut).
