I buy ebook discs off eBay, the convert them to mobi format on my PC then put them on my kindle app on my iPad....And I put them on my friends kindle...great value 5000 books for a couple of quid...I've read lots of books off them that I would never of read other wise.

Downside to a iPad is that you have to use Dropbox to more the files over to the iPad from the PC.......

I don't know how to convert em, but I love my Kindle.

The best know and most widely used software for it is Calibre Takes a bit of getting used to but is good at what it does.

Why on earth don't you just load your Kindle straight from your PC?

She's talking about the Kindle app for Apple products.  Also because, if I'm reading it correctly, if you convert the file format then you can do what you want with it, instead of only read it on Kindle.

I down load ebooks straight from amazon to my kindle app on my iPad.....as well. But I also buy discs off eBay with ebooks....really good value as I'm a serious reader... And it's a way of saving money...I read four maybe five books a week..

You can also sign up to Amazon's "Kindle daily deal".  They send you an email every day with 3 books for 99p.  There have been some well known authors  included in the deal from time to time.
