Ginger with no sugar

Anyone know if its possible to buy chrystalized type ginger minus the sugar
Asked in holland and barret but they could only suggest washing off the sugar

Would stem ginger in syrup work for you?  What are you making Victoria?

So try the ginger in the jar rather than covered in sugar  ;)

Actually I was thinking this evening about how I could make the ginger in syrup without too many carbs.  Will let you know if I find a way.

I think you are out of luck here. Nothing but sugar would change the texture of the ginger to 'crystallised' imo You could sweeten ginger but it wouldn't be the same I don't think.
