That's one of the reasons why some people hate sprouts, when they have been boiled to death by trainee cooks, often at skool.

Sprouts should end up al dente, with a bit of a crunch to them when eaten.  In this condition they have considerable yummitude.
Type 2, diagnosed June 1993, on insulin since May 2005; last HbA1c (Jan 2015): 38 mmol/mol = ~5.6%;
early morning: Levemir, 50 u;
at each main meal: NovoRapid, ~12-25 u, with Metformin, 2 x 500 mg;
just before bedtime: Levemir, 50 u; also aspirin, and very reluctantly atorvastatin 10 mg.

Oh yes Moby !  An excess of yummitude !

It's not a bad way to get kids to eat em either - a stir fry LOL

I think they've stopped growing those bitter things we used to get when I was little (although I did like that occasionally, another 'different' taste, you know?) because it's been years since they've tasted like that.

Patti, I'll have to do the same as you - still if you forget and they're not done by Xmas day, you can stick em in the pressure cooker on Xmas morning - only takes about half an hour once the pressure's up ..............

Frozen ones: boil 'em.
Fresh ones: oven roasted (cut in half, drizzled with oil, salt, pepper, garlic, lemon juice) or pan roasted (chopped, sautéed in oil or butter, season however).

Will have to try doing 'em in bacon grease, that sounds fabulous!
