I shouldn't think so, Dr D. Fungal anything is one heck of a job to entirely get rid of, and it's never 'for ever' - some of us are just prone to such things.
My original thrush outbreak (the 'ladies' kind, TMI LOL) was undoubtedly encouraged by high BG (we were only testing pee at that time) but it persisted for about 15 years on and off. Then one day I happened to wander into a local beauty salon (they sold all sorts of odd costume jewellery, hair accessories and the like) and happened to notice they had some Aussie Tea Tree oil gel stuff for use down below. Knowing the reputation of said tree products, I thought it was worth a try at least. It worked, I then subsequently had a further outbreak and used it again. Zapped it pdq (because I caught it pronto at the first tingle of an itch before I needed to scratch LOL I believe) - that was 20+ years ago and so far, never to be suffered again even when I was having terrible trouble with BGs.
No idea whether you can still get it or not. Certainly that shop stopped selling it cos I later sent a friend there.
Have you actually ever tried Tea Tree oil (suitably diluted, it burns if too strong) on your tootsie?
