Update!!!!
« on: 07 August 2015, 12:48:01 PM »
So, I'm finally a married woman! We married July 23 and was just perfect. We get the keys to our new home tomorrow!!

And..... I'm having my baby no later than September 1st. At clinic on Tuesday they did a growth scan and baby is measuring perfect on 50th centile and weighs approx 5lb 5. I was surprised because I've had a lot of readings 7 and over so was concerned she was going to be quite chunky. She's growing just perfect :-) induction is penciled for September 1st when I'll be 38+2 but that could change depending on what happens over the next few weeks.

Its all very exciting and scary. I don't know what to expect in the way of induction or child birth. Mixed emotions at the moment. Everything is becoming harder to do, I can't even bend to tie shoe laces so I'm sticking to slip ons haha

So happy for you! You and the husband looking wonderful in the pictures. Seems you have been able to keep control tight enough for the little one. Of course I'll never carry a baby inside me but I do believe my 'fairly good ' control would be much tighter if I was pregnant.

Wishing you well for the exciting times to come.

So beautiful!  I do remember your posts so much some time ago and how difficult things were for you, and look at you now, a married lady with a baby on the way and so happy.  Blessings to your little family and please believe all of us who say that you forget the pain as soon as that little bundle is in your arms.  xx

Thank you all so much. Its crazy to think how different things were three years ago.

I've been with this Scottish hunk since February 2013, lost two babies with him and at one point thought I would lose him and never have kids. And now, I couldn't be happier. My life is literally perfect :-) I know I don't come on here often, but I do remember all of you giving me advice and support through the tough times in my life and I can't thank you all enough for it. You are all amazing.

Baby Alana arrived August 18th. I had a rough couple weeks with my diabetes. I had to reduce my insulin by more than half and the drs didn't know why. I went in for monitoring on the Wednesday because she wasn't moving. All turned out well but they were concerned with diabetes so reduced insulin. I ended up going in on the Friday for more monitoring because of reduced movements and more hypos even tho I reduced my insulin. I was then admitted because they told me I had various things happening, placenta was starting to fail and I was starting to show signs of pre-eclampsia, along with the diabetes. I had steroids over the weekend because I was pre term. Monday night at 1130pm they induced by pessary. I started contracting within an hour, but I was having too many too often (as soon as they stopped they started) so they removed the pessary. Broke my waters at 2pm. Ended up having an epidural. At 130pm they examined me and I was 6cm, they decided to take blood from her head to check her because of her heart rate and she was borderline distressed. So they took me for an emergency section. Alana Louise Dennis was born at 36+2 on Tuesday August 18th at 1:56pm and weighed 7lb 8.5oz

Congratulations, bet you are over the moon and then some. Give Alana a hug and kiss from her forum Aunties and Uncles :)

It sounds all pretty scary stuff to me but maybe it wasn't as bad as it sounds (I really know every little about births) and thankfully all turned out well in the end.

Oh Sarah_Loo it does sound as if it was scary, but what a lovely outcome.  7lbs 8oz is a good size!  Lots of hugs for you and Alana and congrats to Dad!  I bet he's over the moon too.  We shall need a pic you know!
