GcMAF... natures own defence
« on: 13 February 2016, 01:12:12 PM »
Classed as 'off topic' but has a small but significant reference to Diabetes:
I am a fan of GcMAF - Big Time!

Quote
A little-known molecule that occurs naturally in the human body. GcMAF (Globulin component Macrophage Activating Factor), which is the GC protein after it combines with vitamin D in the body, has the potential to be a universal cure for cancer.
It's also believed to be capable of treating and reversing autism, HIV, liver/kidney disease and DIABETES.

When I read reports like this I am bound to wonder if there really is a big cover up going on?
http://www.naturalnews.com/050582_nagalase_GcMAF_cancer_industry_profits.html
(please read right through)

If you have friends, relations, loved ones, or it's just plain you yourself affected by - Cancer, Autism, HIV, Liver/Kidney disease and of course - Diabetes (as to the latter, sadly you ARE affected or you wouldn't be reading this) After reading the article linked above you'll have a better idea of just where your hard earned tax money is ending up. As a Diabetic, or (God forbid) a big C sufferer, then you are a 'prized commodity'. You are making a fortune for those who 'seem' to be helping you (drug industry). You are also keeping millions of people in work who do CARE about you... they are the real helpers. However, there seems to be a darker side emerging... or maybe a bigger agenda?

If you think the article is scare mongering or just another 'conspiracy theory' then that's your right and God given choice, but spare a thought for those afflicted who have zero choice.
I personally am on a quest to find out as much as I possibly can about GcMAF before I (and the researchers) DIE!
I just wish I could be more active/proactive... spreading the word is a start I suppose <sigh>

If you think the article is scare mongering or just another 'conspiracy theory' then that's your right

Ziggy's article nailed it. It is nonsense and quackery. I knew it would be as soon as I saw the source. NaturalNews is one of the of the worst quack sites on the web; I automatically discount anything published on that site. At least Mercola gets it right about half the time (but terribly wrong for the other half) but NaturalNews is purely, as you put it so well, scare mongering or just another 'conspiracy theory.

Thanks Ziggy for that link. You’ve saved me putting too much energy into what I thought was a ‘good cause’.
That’s the beauty of a forum with diligent and alert members. Many eyes are better than my humble two :)
Can’t say I’m not very disappointed though :-(

I’m sorry now I didn’t check it out on Snopes. That’s usually the first place I go.

Ah well.... Cheers

I agree. It is wrong that you were given false hope only to have it dashed.

It is sad that so many weirdoes infest the web putting so much energy into false causes, either scaring people off safe products (such as sweeteners or saturated fats or eggs) or raising hopes with false cures such as okra water or apple cider vinegar or cinnamon or GcMAF.

That is apart from the slime peddling wonder products, herbal cures and secret diet remedies. It's a jungle out there...take care.

Whilst I understand your disappointment Tony, I am pleased to see that the forum gives sensible and useful help for debunking some of the rubbish that's about!

So am I - when I read things like Tony's link, because I haven't got the vaguest idea of anything they are talking about apart from being able to understand the 'benefits' there are supposed to be - I am just not encouraged to try it.

It would take a LOT more people and sources, some of whom I already trust for other advances they've explained to me usually - ie not just their reputations (eg Andrew Farmer and the T2's shouldn't test rubbish or Rory Collins thinking statins are the best thing since sliced bread and that people like me who have side effects that aren't absolutely rock solidly repeatable to the exact same result can be ignored - they had fantastic credentials) but by PROOF and proper detailed evidence and explanation - only THEN do I really start to consider - perhaps I should try it ?  And only then start to weigh up the possible/probable pros and cons - for ME specifically - whichever side is heavier will win.

I never won anything by rushing - sorry Usain Bolt.  But there again - how many hours days weeks months years did he have to train, before his maximum potential was reached?
