Cloud Bread (finally)
« on: 19 February 2016, 12:38:54 PM »
Finally made Cloud Bread this morning - haven't tasted yet as supposedly storing overnight makes the texture change to a more bread-like texture. Plan to use as burger (veggie) buns tomorrow.
Video and recipe here (nb if the video doesn't play because you are not in England - deny the right for the page to know your location and use any English postcode when asked)

That looks really interesting.  I'd love to hear what they are actually like.

Although I put in a UK postcode it won't let me view it.  It does say it might be available on ITV but I couldn't find it.

They look really interesting, Ziggy, I've just Googled them and got the recipe. I have the ingredients so I'm going to try them this weekend.

Update

Tried them last night - as a (veggie) burger bun. Verdict - very happy with the result. Tastier than a burger bun for sure.  Doesn't taste like bread though more like a pancake but lighter. I think I may cook them a wee bit longer next time - first trial is seldom perfect.

However - very acceptable - I added a quarter teaspoon of mustard to them. You can add a lot of taste tweaks to them - herbs, garlic etc.   I used the cream cheese option and their are a lot of flavoured cream cheeses too.

As Holly says in the video - a very good vehicle for the filling.

BTW these are supposed to be zero carb but in reality are probably about 1 or 2 carb.

Have uploaded the video here if anybody has difficulty seeing it.

Thanks for reposting the video Ziggy, I eventually got to see it after Dropbox got over the idea I didn't want to join or sign in.

Glad you enjoyed em.   Might give them a go this week!

Thanks; I have dropbox and it came through perfectly on VLC when I downloaded. I'll give these a try.

Her maple syrup seemed to defeat the purpose of the exercise at the end :)
