I guess I just wanted something to get me back on the right road again as my weight and HbA1c had both risen over the past year. The book probably confirmed what I already knew.
There are recipes in the book but I was not sure about some of them as I thought they would raise my bgs. Grilled apricots with yoghurt sounded good but just one used to raise my bg levels to over 10.0, so what would three do??? There are six in the recipe but it serves 2. Spicy turkey and apricot burgers with salad sounds good and the salad has pomegranate seeds. Melon appears a lot in the recipes. I have always shunned it as I thought it was not low carb. There are some shakes with melon, blueberries and spinach. Apples, pears, oranges and grapefruits also appear in recipes and yet I was under the impression that I could only have berry fruits! I will try them though and make sure I test before and after.
