Hi
Have been meaning to post on here for ages but one thing or another always gets in the way ! I can't even remember my login from the first baby so have registered again (I'm blaming baby brain).
Anyway, I am pregnant with a long awaited 2nd baby (30 weeks already aaaah) and just thought I would pop in to say hi - I know that not many people post on here at the moment but I'm sure lots of people pop in to read as I did and I wanted to get a chance to catch up as this really was the most useful forum when I was pregnant.
I popped on when I first found out I was pregnant but was too superstitious to post anything and checked out the low carb ideas and have tackled my pregnancy somewhat differently this time. I realised I couldn't achieve the required levels by eating lots of carbs for breakfast or lunch so have had the livlife bread for breakfast and salad and sesame ryvita for lunch. It's worked so far although the insulin requirements are gradually increasing.
On another positive - I haven't had to see the horrible diabetic nurse from last time that gave me sleepless nights and the consultants are taking the view that I am more expert (in some regards) than they are which have made the whole experience much better.
