It's 99% likely I will have to cancel my lovely holiday to Aus/NZ in Feb as the cardiologist won't clear me to travel. I am still in denial but am hanging on to the very thin thread of hope that I get a cancellation for the angiogram and by some miracle they give me the all clear.

I am just waiting for a date from the hospital which will make the decision one way or another for me.

Do they have you waiting for the angiogram for long? I was treated as an emergency and got mine done that very day, but I know what its like to have to wait for NHS wheels to turn! For my last surgical appointment I was told they don't "do" a cancellation list but I was told informally that they'd let me know, and then got a call two weeks later to go in that Monday. I think it's true that sometimes you do have to make an unpleasant fuss of yourself to be heard and seen unfortunately.

I hope you get to go on your lovely holiday!

Oh how well you know me....... I have no problem with making an unpleasant fuss, to be honest if I'd kept quiet I doubt I would have been seen yet as apparently my referral between the GP and hospital got lost somewhere and it was only discovered after I kept phoning.

Well done feejee & sami it takes so much work to lose weight so well done both!

I am working a lot lately so am only able to get weighed every other week (it should be okay for a few weeks now though) so will weigh on Wednesday morning.

Keep it up all, I know it is hard but it will trully be worth it for health and appearance.

I have not had a great week diet and exercise wise this week until today had not been to the gym since Monday as a few things got in my way in my free time like looking at new school for Lauren for 6th form next year, going with mum to breast clinic for needle biopsy as they think her cancer is back , then snow last night.
Resulting in 1.5lbs gain this week I know why and that's what matters so I know how to fix it and not having a Chinese night before weigh in is one of them oops I can still make my Xmas mini goal if I try hard enough and I plan to.
I did just under 2hrs of cardio and weights today burning 900 cals I even managed to run for 4 mins on the treadmill and that's a first I will succeeds failer is not a option

Sorry I have been MIA lately, lots going on some good some bad but I'll skip over all that.

Lost 1 1/2 lb last week but more amazingly I lost 4 1/2 lb today so got my 2 1/2 stone award!!! I think my body has a strange way of working as I can eat the same and do the same over 2 weeks with different results.

Christmas is looming and I have reached my end of year goal early so will hope for 3 stone by the end of the year. I have a few 'events' planned but in between I intend to stick to plan.

I hope others are still motivated, it is soooo hard this time of the year we really do need to support each other.

Yup stodge weather indeed. Our local tesco was sold out of diced steak when the weather started getting into the minus (I live in Scotland so colder than most of the UK) I guess everyone was thinking 'lets have stew' like I had been. Ended up buying brisket and did it slowly in the slow cooker. I've been finding it harder to have the smaller amounts of carbs with my meals.

I really need to start working out cals on foods, after testing and counting carbs I really don't what to work out cals (which is something new and would take learning) but I'm still putting on weight and I know have enough of an over hang on my belly that I need to dry the crease. I've always weighed less than my brother but that has changed over the last year ( I've been slowly putting on weight for a couple years) and that has to stop, and then I ned to drop some weight. I don't have a weight goal as such more what I want to look like. I'd say I need to drop 2-3 st.

Good luck Liam, it is hard but I do use my slow cooker a lot as it is handy to batch cook.

I'm thinking how much better I'll look and feel come Spring!

I've just had another clothes sort out, over the last 2 weeks I have donated 5 bags to charity yet my wardrobes are still full (strange!!) I have yet to start on the drawers.

I have been quite ruthless as I really don't want to be able to wear those bigger clothes, although I have said that so many times, let's hope I can stick to it this time.

Good luck all.
