That's so sad, she needed professional help but slipped through the cracks that so many others slip through  :(

Doesn't say how long she'd had D but if she got it young you would've thought the difference in the needles now and back then would've been a relief to her.

The same "practitioner" Hongchi Xiao was responsible for the death of a young male child in Australia a year or so back.  The parents listened to him, stopped the boy's insulin and slapped him in the same way.  If you ask me Hongchi Xiao is a murderer.

I wonder if it might appear to work if they really beat lipos? Like releasing stored insulin. I had a fear of needles at diagnosis and it took me a good year with my mother and DNS to work upto injecting myself. I had forgotten but it seems I had to lie down to be injected too at the start (was my step mother who did them for me when staying with my dad that reminded me) Things got a lot better when my mum forced my GP to prescribe pens and screw on needles (they were huge needles but better than the syringes) by just saying she wasn't leaving until I got them.

Really I'm just saying that with the right support that you can get over it. Guess we have to hope they can get this stopped, one death is too many.

He left us before the authorities could stop him. So sad this has happened to the latest victim, but hopefully your authorities will put him where he belongs: 'Slapping therapy' death case referred to prosecutor

Cheers, Alan, T2, Australia.
