 PMd

Given meter tolerances there's no real difference between 8.6 and 9.3, that can happen between 2 fingers as well.  The rise after breakfast was negligible too.  So the breakfast was a good one for you.  However, the problem is the FBG which was too high.  So the question is, how to get your baseline down.  That may be achievable with a higher dose of basal, but Insulatard is so notoriously peaky I'd be very cautious.  I'd be very interested in which other insulin your nurse was suggesting, because if it was one of the modern basals your task would be much easier.

She did call and wasn't overly concerned which sort of reassured me. Basically am to carry on over the weekend and see what happens to the numbers as she said it's doubtful it's the Victoza and possible my body adjusting to the low carbing , so I agreed 👍

Sounds promising Pms.  Tea sounds delicious too!

I'm afraid our dinner isn't very low carb tonight, lasagna with a tomato and mozzarella salad - but it's because friends are coming for a casual supper.  Garlic bread for them too.
