Book: "Diabetes Unpacked" by various authors
« on: 03 August 2017, 04:56:26 PM »
The book "Diabetes Unpacked" is only recently published by Columbus Publishing Ltd. but I was wondering if anyone has had the opportunity to read it?  In the U.S. I had to 'pre-order' it long before it was published and I'm waiting anxiously for it to be delivered.  Also I don't understand why Tim Noakes has come under attack for his stand on low carb diet. To me he is a most interesting author.

Not sure about the reliability of this link, but it is what came up on a Google search.

Oh yes of course, that was so silly and the complant should never have been upheld in the first place.  I thought you meant directly as a result of the book.

It seems like anytime someone puts forth an idea that actually helps those of us with diabetes, the medical community gets all upset and wants to criticize the person making the helpful suggestions.  It is silly, but my GP is in favor of LCHF but we are not allowed to speak openly about it.

Yes I ordered the hardback one and it's supposed to be delivered in early August. I'm looking forward to receiving it. I read on Dr Kendrick's website in one of the comments that the person had received theirs, that would be the paperback edition.

Avocado - I ordered the paperback edition and I received it today.  My advice about the book is "don't open the cover unless you have a goodly chunk of time to devote to reading."  It is really interesting and I shall stop talking so others can enjoy the book.  I'm really glad I ordered it.
