Hi all,

All your advice and help is brilliant.

Re my sugar levels, no my meter showed a drop to under 1 and it’s spiked right up in the twenties.

Thanks for the details of your menu; I snipped for brevity but read it all. Patti has offered good advice. It is not a matter of eating healthily or rubbish, it is a matter of understanding the different post-meal effects on our blood glucose levles from different portion sizes of fats, proteins and carbohydrates. For diabetics the emphasis is very heavily on the latter: carbohydrates.

You mention tests. Please consider some extra tests for a couple of days: one hour and two hours after every meal. I would be very interested if you would be prepared to post the relevant meal contents and results. Read this for more information: Jennifer’s advice
Cheers, Alan, T2, Australia.
