Pauline

Remind us all which pub we're eating in on Friday and which on Saturday please?  Also is it OK if any other members who would like to come PM you for your address?

Many thanks!

Other members will be very welcome, but the sooner they decide the better as Nick found out that many of the places for accommodation were booked!  If anyone else is interested in coming, please pm me.

On the Friday evening, I thought we could eat at the Pelican Inn in Stapleford.  It is not far from where Nick and Pat are staying and about 2 miles from my home.  I will book it for 8 people when I am there on Monday and I can always add to it.  John has offered to go alcohol free that night and ferry us all to and from the Pelican.

On the Saturday evening, I have booked the Boot Inn which is at the bottom of my drive.

Diabetes Type2 diagnosed March 2014.  Treated by diet only.  HbA1c 60 on diagnosis, 52 in June 2014, 50 October 2014, 44 December 2014, 48 May 2015, 50 Sep 2015, 53 Jan 2016, 50 Oct 2016, 56 Feb 2017, 50 Jun 2017. 50 Aug 2017. 47 Feb 2018  Pacemaker fitted 2008 - replaced 2017.

When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want 'em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

Thanks for the clarification Pauline.  I had the pubs muddled up. John is clearly a hero!

I went to the Pelican Inn last night and have booked a table for 8 people for Friday 13th July.  I booked for 7pm as they stop serving food at 8pm so I will be keeping my fingers crossed that you are all here by then.

I have Patti's mobile number but would appreciate it please if the other two couples could pm me with their numbers so we have contact if necessary on the actual day when you are travelling.  Thank you.

OTOH I'm looking forward to looking forward to it - so utterly lovely that someone's organised it for us instead of it falling to the usual.

Tell me Pauline (LOL) - we haven't asked - do you charge for car etc parking? - and will we need the right change?

I hadn't thought about that, Sedge!  LOL

Here is an aerial photo of our house, but it only shows half our garden which extends to the left of the picture. All the sheds to the right of our house and behind the two garages are in our neighbours gardens.  We can't see any of their gardens as we have tall hedges and conifers.

Click on the photo to enlarge it.

Blimey Pauline - that must take some looking after!  Is there a track along the far side of the long 'barn' in front of your garden?

Yes.  The "barn" is a disused poultry unit which has not had any chickens in for 30 years.  The track was for the lorries to get in and out.
