My counting and ratios seem to all go wonky past 40g.  Which is not to say that I have been sticking to under 40g per meal lately (15-20g at breakfast), but things go a lot better when I do!

I just have a slightly different system for meals over my 'tipping point'. If these were regular I guess I'd just adjust ratio for that time of day. All those years of fixed carb counts for each meal have left me a bit stuck in my ways!

These days I tend to eat pretty much identical breakfasts and lunches 5 days a week as the reduction in variables takes lot of the guesswork and frustration out of it for me. I let loose on holidays etc, but realise that BGs will be less reliable if there are more variables going in :)
