On the Medtronic Revel/Veo pump....where do I find...
« on: 05 May 2012, 05:31:24 PM »
I'm sort of embarrassed to be asking this because I should know it, however I've forgotten it.  Anyway.....where do I find the screen that reminds me of the amount of insulin units left in the reservoir/cartridge before I run out?  I'm referring to when the reservoir is almost gone and the pump beeps or vibrates to remind me "hey...It is time to put in a new reservoir/cartridge."  Thanks for your help as I think my brain went on holiday w/o me  :-[

My veo just has a symbol on the opposite side to the battery symbol with he time in the middle, I didn't think there was an actual function to tell you how many units are left, it just alerts if it runs below the lowest incriment if you see what I mean.

If you press the back arrow button (esc) and scroll down, it tells you how much insulin is left. Is that what you meant Grammar?  Or do you mean how to change when the alarm goes off?

Winni - I didn't know how to phrase the question....I mean - when the pump vibrates and says "Low Reservoir" - how do I reset that number?  The pump trainer set my number to 30 and I would like it to be a lower number so if the 'alarm' goes off during the night I don't keep being bothered by the darned alarm.  I thought Mike said that was a place to do that, but maybe that was my imagination.  Sometimes I think I'm sort of thick because I've had this pump for 1-1/2 yrs and there must be still lots I don't know how to find :)

On mine it's under utilities/alarm/low res warning

You can change the units there

Hey Thanks Dollyrocker.  I found it exactly where you said it is - same place on mine.  I guess you can teach an ole' dog new tricks :)  :)

Oh trust a ruddy science teacher (Winni, LOL) to teach you something Dolly!

I don't seem to be able to reset mine at all, it's set to 20 and I think it's a factory setting rather than a 'freehand' one.  20u is like a whole day for me so I don't bother there and then -  such a waste of insulin - and then forget!
