Has any of the members got the Accu check expert
That's the meter that I use the DSN set it up for me when it has needed altering they have guided me through it over the phone

I know a few do.  Patti and myself use the Freestyle Insulinx made by Abbott which is more or less the same thing with a few minor differences.  It's really been a big help to me anyway!  I love that it can take into account the insulin I've already taken, so when, as sometimes happens, I may have already had dinner but then someone suggests we go for a coffee or a snack I don't have to choose between "stacking" two doses of insulin (which can lead to hypos) or refusing the offer - the meter will work out for me how much insulin is left from my last dose and subtract it from the next one!  I have never yet had a hypo from "stacking" doses if I follow the meter's advice, whereas I have had from doing it on my own.

That sounds quite good as well

Chas C:
Hi Christine - I'm now on the Combo which uses the blu tooth version of the Expert, but have been on the Expert normal unit for the past year prior to pumping.

Pattidevans:
Mike (everydayupsanddowns) was on the Expert prior to being on the pump, also Victoria has it.

Do you need to ask a specific question about it?
