Patients Voice project for T2's
« on: 11 March 2012, 05:52:40 PM »
I signed up for Patients Voice some years ago and recently received the following info and was asked to pass it on - if you are interested please pm me for the contact e-mail address :)
"The Patients Voice is running a project with people with Type 2 Diabetes
We are writing to you because when you joined us at The Patients Voice you mentioned that you, a friend or a family member suffered from Diabetes.
If you are eligible for participating you can either take part in a 2 hour discussion group for which you will receive £120 or 75 minute one to one interview for which you will receive £75.
The research will take place on 20th March in Birmingham at a central research facility!
To qualify for the study we are looking to interview people who meet the following criteria:-
  • Aged 18 plus
  • Have  been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes
  • Using oral medication to treat your diabetes"

I hope to be able to participate and it would be good if there was anyone else who could too :)

Too far north for me, and on a Tuesday when most people will be working! I wonder what it's for though! Be really interesting to do!

I'd be so tempted to go along but I don't finish work till 8pm on that day and i'd not get up there in time for sure.

Do let us know what it's about Jenny! Last time I did any of research groups it was to do with the victoza once a week injection thingy and they had tea/coffee, lollipops and sandwiches for us lol!

No, straight up! Lollipops and coffee in the waiting room, then when someone complained we were all hungry we were bought a platter of sandwiches... looked very nice and all but I passed for obvious reasons!
