I am very pleased to hear your news Victoria.  It does show how important basal  testing is and I!m annoyed that HCPs don't seem to inform people about it.  Not one I have ever seen prior to going on the pump ever mentioned it to me.


By the way.. How much Levemir did you end up on Nd what are your ratios now?

16 units morning and just 4 in the evening
morning ratio 1 unit per 10 gms carb
lunchtime 1 unit per 9gms carb and eveningmeal
1 unit per 6 gms
very hungry still but hopefully will get used to eating less

Unless you are trying to diet why are you making yourself go hungry?  If your ratios are correct you should be able to eat what you want within reason.

Well when your BG is high and then you reduce it, your brain gets a bit confused!  (not just yours, I mean anyone's)  So, at the mo it could be just a reaction - but if it's still there in a few days as Patti says - eat more!  Doesn't have to be carbs, does it?  Protein fills you up and so do veg.

thats what i thought re the hunger fortunatly I love veg plus am hoping the extra weight I put on with the mixed regime I may be able to whittle some of it away
