We were invited to lunch by friends who live in Marazion. It was a nice dry day so we decided to walk. It's approx 3.5 miles, but we didn't realise part of the coastal walk is blocked off because it subsided in a recent storm. I don't think it makes it any further to go part of the way by road, but it does mean walking on hard pavement instead of grass/softer surfaces. By the time we were 3/4 of the way there my socks felt like sandpaper. I took off my boots at our friends as they have beige carpet throughout.
Caught a bus from right outside their home on the way back, but it's over a mile walk back to our house from the bus station in town, a bit further if you want to avoid the really steep hill. By the time I got home I was literally hobbling. Just bared my feet to discover my right foot has a raw patch 2" x 1" on the ball of the foot, left foot is raw but only half the size. Arghhh.,... that will put paid to more exercise this week!
