This morning was round 2 of the "I could cry sometimes" story. I had an appt with the podiatrist late morning, so I got up early, took my shower, put in a new infusion set and sat down to check my blood sugar and figure out the bolus and eat breakfast. Soon as I turned on the pump and entered the numbers, pump face flashed an onscreen message that said "pump has malfunctioned, please call customer service immediately."
So when I called customer service, they asked if there was a malfunction code and could I please read it off to them. I did so, and then the bloke said "I'm sorry, but we will have to send you a replacement pump as something is wrong with yours and we don't feel safe about you using it." Oh great!!! Just what I need whilst I'm already in a hurry. I had a loaner pump, in a box in my closet. So told the guy at customer service that I did have a replacement. But I had to sit down and program the durn thing from scratch which took me almost 30 minutes. Never did get my breakfast and worse yet never had my first cup of coffee.
Some days it does not pay to get out of the bed!
