Ersatz Mulled Wine

Some of the usual Christmas drinks like Gluhwein or Mulled Wine are loaded with sugar. However I have come across a substitute - Ribena Winter Spice. Whilst it tastes sweet it is virtually sugar free. I make it with warm/hot water. To make it more like the real thing I added some fruit slices (apple goes well) and a small tot of brandy. Cheers!
T1 for over 50 years.  MDI on Porcine insulin.  Lisinopril and Atorvastatin.

Niiice!  I have made mulled wine with Splenda before, it was OK.

Type 1.  Mis-diagnosed T2 May 2003, finally had CPeptide test 15/7/11 and proper diagnosis 1/9/11.  Now pumping Apidra with Roche Spirit Combo pump. Hba1c 6.1 Sept 2017.  45 (6.3) April 2018.

Sadly stocks of Spiced Ribena seem to have run out locally as I wanted to get another bottle for the Christmas period.   :(

Perhaps it was a seasonal thing.
