Olympic Ice Dancing

At least I have 4 years to get fit enough after smashing my patella!

They showed a snippet of film with her undergoing physio, it definitely shows she lives in Canada!

Penny Coombes, the female in GBs ice dance entry - smashed her right patella into 10 pieces (about twice the number I did) and has a scar the same length as mine.

Where the hell my hospital physio dept are going the lay their hands on an ice rink in order to teach me to skate in the first place, is a bit vague to me -  but there you go!  LOL

They weren't in the medals, but all the lifts landings and everything else showed no sign whatever of the knee being iffy.  Bearing in mind they say it's normally 12 months before you can walk properly and she was told she might never walk again - I'm full of admiration for the woman and think she's incredible.  Showed her lifting weights with that leg and screaming in pain and sobbing as she did it - what dedication.  And I wanted to cry with her, cos it's agony just lifting that leg straightened at all to start with.  Utterly brilliant.
