As the thread title says.... absolutely delicious and only 1.9g carb per 2 sausages!

They are delicious - but never seen any in the UK (we don't have a Sainsbury's very near so don't visit very often)  Bought one last year in a Carrefour - complete and coiled like Cumberland are in the UK - over a kilo, cost c.€9 !

Obviously had to divide it up, it froze well.   Bought some straight ones (obv more like the Sainsbury's ones) after somewhere else, but not as nice - probably the ring one was more 'artisanale'.  Daughter said she'd had some and it was far too garlicky and 'solid'.  Neither of the ones we had, were either of those things - normal texture of a meaty sausage, and most likely would have some garlic in the seasoning but not really noticeable to either of us.

Got my mouth watering here!

I don't like Toulouse sausages either as I find they have much too much garlic for me.  It must be ten years or more since I tasted them and would probably have bought mine from Tesco.

We love em, but hey we love garlic!  Rarely cook a meal without it.

Tonight we had meatballs that I had made to a Swedish recipe.  I made them ages ago and froze em in portions and it was time we used the last ones.  I winged a sauce with what I had in the fridge (not Swedish at all!).  I used a chopped shallot, 3 cloves of garlic, some veg stock, creme fraiche, fresh herbs (tarragon and chives) a dollop of tarragon mustard and a dollop of double cream.  We ate them with a mash made mostly of cauli but with a couple of maris piper potatoes for some texture, carrots and broccoli.  So far BGs have gone up only 2
