Update on Pete
« on: 02 July 2018, 03:05:09 PM »

Pete went to the vampire on Friday and this morning about 9.30 the house phone rings, and I hear half the conversation.

His appt with his oncologist was set for Weds afternoon but for whatever reason Dr K can't be there.  Pete could go tomorrow says K or offers the alternative of over the phone. Pete agrees, on the phone and says he's already been for his blood test - his PSA is still 'undetectable' he's told.  Dr asked if any probs following the radiotherapy with bowels or bladder - no, so far so good.  See you in 12 months then.

We'd far rather he spent his time seeing people who need help - otherwise a face to face isn't absolutely necessary - as long as they can see you when you actually need to see them.   Saves us a journey and the carpark charge anyway!

Good news!

I sometimes feel I'm wasting time going to the eye clinic. Been stable for years. Had one Doctor tell me I'd just get re-referred at the next screening if he took me off the books.

Sedge, John has a CT chest with contrast scan on Saturday at Salisbury District Hospital and a PET scan at Headington near Oxford on Tuesday.  He has also had blood tests for cancer markers.  I doubt he will have any results by the weekend of 13th but he can tell you what is going on then.
