Temporary Basal Rate
« on: 11 August 2018, 01:44:24 PM »
Hi there, can anyone who uses the Accu Chek Spirit Combo pump please tell me how to look at a previous Temporary Basal Rate Setting. I set one before going to bed last night and I don’t know if it was for minus 10% or minus 20% so I’d like to look back and check. Thank you! 😊

I'm not sure you can TBH - unless it shows in the 'logbook' part?  Probably easiest to ring the helpline.

That's where I mean, I simply forgot what Roche call it!

Thank you. I think the only way of finding out would be to download the pump data but I can’t do that at home. Never mind, I’ll err on the side of caution and presume I’d only reduced it by 10%. 😊

I did a "Google" search and came up with this:  https://www.accu-chek.com/download/file/fid/16301
It is a 'pdf' file and the temporary basal information is on page 19 of that file.  I don't know if that is what you are searching for, but it might be worth a look.

Thank you GrammaBear. I’ve had a read of it and it does look as though I would have to download my pump first to find out what my TBR was 😊

You are welcome.  Sometimes it is confusing and frustrating to have to download the pump just to find out something that should be obvious to the user.  I hope things work out for you.

Hiya

I have rarely downloaded my Combo because I found the method tedious, long winded and difficult, plus the information gained was pretty useless.  Pity, because some software I have used in the past, particularly that provided by Abbott has been so amazingly informative.  I am thinking of the Insulinx meter I used before going on the pump and the Libre sensor.  So I keep a spreadsheet.  Don’t use it on a daily basis, but I do record significant changes And you can use it for occasional TBRs if necessary.

Ps if you ring Roche they will send you a disc with the software for downloading the pump
