Gordon Bennett !
« on: 28 December 2018, 12:12:26 PM »

Thinking I had about a weeks worth too few of one partic tablet of the 5 types I ingest daily to last me until I have to go to the surgery (where the pharmacy is also situated) anyway next Weds - I ordered everything I needed on Xmas Eve, knowing it doesn't even get passed out to whoever's doing the repeats that day until the following morning, ie yesterday.

Just looked online, says it's been processed - yesterday!  Good grief.  But can take a while sometimes until the pharmacy a) gets it and then b) has time to dispense it esp if they need to order anything in after the hols  They get 2 or 3 deliveries from the wholesalers every day - but it depends on the timing so if it were some time I the afternoon when they tried o dispense it, might be too late for the last delivery, if the van's already left or whatever.

So - rang the pharmacy - bloke answered, nowt new there - started asking him and he immediately asked 'Is that Mrs C?'  Hi Bal, wasn't immediately sure it was you.  'Yes, got it all here in 2 bags (LOL) except the insulin, I've ordered it, so give us a few hours please'.  Right-o - I'll drop in later this afternoon then!

Must be the quickest they've done one this year, I think.  I'm gobsmacked he hasn't suffocated under prescriptions requested over those 2 days!

Isn’t it?  Mind you i moved pharmacy when we moved house as tbe one I used is the opposite end of town to where we park, or where the bus station is.  The old pharmacy was chaotic but so friendly and I was on first name terms with all the staff.  I now use the one in Sainsbury’s half way between our village and town, it’s closer and no problems parking  They are very efficient, but what a miserable, humourless lot they are!
