I stumbled across this recipe on the Aldi website -


It's reasonably low carb but you could probably substitute some/most/all of the plain flour with ground almonds.

Why not use besan flour same as you would for a 'normal Indian' onion bhaji?  Or are you thinking most of us would be more likely to have ground almonds?  Besan flour is really cheap though, esp if you nip into an Indian supermarket to get it! (so are all the herbs and spices, whether you ever cook anything remotely Indian or not, but only want some cinnamon for a fruit cake! LOL)
