Title: Article about the Libre
Post by: Pattidevans on 30 September 2017, 10:35:23 AM
Came across this article, which I found of great interest, this morning. It addresses the FDA approval of the device and some of Abbotts motivations and sales pitch.  However, it is of interest to those wanting to get them prescribed in the UK, particularly in relation to HCP training.

It also addresses the usefulness of testing for T2s

hey Patti -- sorry I missed this when you originally posted it-- great article.

now we have passed the november 1st approval date for Libre on the NHS

anyone heard any mutterings or asked GP's ( or DSN's or Consultants ??

In my Diabetic therapy group -- our leader ( who is a dietician ) is really keen for members of our group to get the Libre

and also due to my sharing of life on a pump --- she is really keen to get a couple of the group members pumping as well.
(she is writing letters of support to these people's consultants.)
